Newcastle’s Bruno Guimaraes is being looked at by Liverpool in what could be the shock move of the summer with Jurgen Klopp a big fan of the midfielder.
Spanish outlet AS are reporting this news, with Guimaraes having transformed the Newcastle midfield since his arrival this summer.
Klopp’s admiration for the 25-year old has seen the rumours ramp up considerably, especially with the Reds needing a well-documented midfield rebuild this summer and an £88million bid from the club for the Brazilian is believed to be in the works.
Despite signing a four-year deal upon his arrival in the summer, Guimaraes is expected to receive a new contract offer from the Magpies as the club look to secure a Champions League spot for next season.
As unlikely as a deal for him might be, Barcelona and PSG are also said to be interested in the player, which could result in some more bids going in for the player but Newcastle aren’t expected to blink at any approaches made.
Guimaraes, who has ten caps for Brazil, has already become a fan favourite at Newcastle and he is likely to be the midfield anchor on the black and white part of Tyneside for the foreseeable future.
