Paris Saint-German could be set to lose Lionel Messi and Neymar this summer after a heated fallout behind the scenes, according to reports.

Neymar was allegedly involved in a dressing room clash on Saturday following a 3-1 defeat to Monaco, where the Brazilian was critical of teammates Vitinha and Hugo Ekitike.

This comes just weeks after Presnel Kimpembe said he was ‘not made aware’ of Kylian Mbappe replacing him as PSG’s vice-captain at the beginning of the campaign.

Mbappe then sent out a social media post calling for ‘unity’ following their recent drop in form, but it is clear that there are major problems in the French side’s dressing room.

According to the Daily Mirror, there is an ongoing feud between Mbappe and Neymar and now both the Brazilian and Messi are both seeking exits from the Parc des Princes.

As per the report, former Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos was forced to separate Mbappe and Neymar, and manager Christophe Galtier then staged a first-team meeting in which the pair were rebuked.

Messi, on the other hand, is now in the final months of his two-year contract with PSG, meaning he is now able to speak to other clubs regarding a free transfer at the end of the season.

It is believed that the Argentina international could make a switch to the MLS, with Inter Miami among the favourites for the legend’s signature.

A sensational return to Barcelona also isn’t completely out of the question, with his former teammate Xavi in charge, so it will be interesting to see where he ends up if he fails to agree on a new contract with PSG.

The timing of this could not be worse for the French giants, as they look forward to their crucial Champions League clash against Bayern Munich on Tuesday.

PSG have also piled pressure on themselves domestically, as Marseille closed the gap on the league leaders to just five points on Saturday.

Last week also saw PSG exit the Coupe de France with a loss to Marseille, so there is now big pressure on them to have success in the Champions League.

Along with Messi and Neymar, Mbappe’s future in the French capital is also in doubt, after recently refusing to rule out a summer departure.

“For now, a second World Cup,” the France international said in November when quizzed over his alleged transfer request. “After that, I don’t know.”

The 24-year-old superstar has previously been linked with moves to Manchester United and Chelsea, so if he does opt to leave the Parc des Princes, a move to the Premier League isn’t out of the question.

Saying that, with Mbappe’s current contract set to run until 2025, a monumental transfer fee would likely be required from the English clubs.

Neymar and Messi seem more likely to leave at the end of the season, which could leave PSG with a huge rift in their squad.
